Námafjall Hverir geothermal area exhibits a great collection of mud pots, vents, and flows. The sulphur smell is strong, but on a windy day you can avoid the worst of it. Temps in and around the zone runs 80°-100°C, but in typical Icelandic fashion, there’s one warning sign and a few ropes to protect the idiots from themselves…
