Bully

Teddy has always been one of my favorite presidents ... visionary and determined, his hunting and conservation priorities are evident throughout this region, as well as other places (Panama).  His National Parks and Antiquities Act preserved so much of our heritage.

Wind Cave NP popcorn and frost formations.  The first NP created for a cave, they have explored 139 miles since they started in the 1890s, still discover 2-3 miles per year, but think there's 90% unexplored.
95% of the 'box' formations in the world are in this cave... not created by dripping water, but by the erosion of the minerals within the boxes by the carbonic acid in the water that entered the cave when the crust was uplifted during the formaitonof the Rockies.

Teddy definitely belongs on the wall!

Maybe one day she will too...

What's most amazing to me is the effort and planning and design associated with the monument!
