Klondike Highway

Not many roads in Yukon Territory we haven't traveled and after the trek up the Klondike there's only two left!
Beautiful sunrise start over the Yukon River!

Awesome cinnamon rolls at the Braeburn Lodge on the way. Larger than life!

Fished a few spots along the way including the obligatory Klondike River.

First moose

Flat Creek

Note the bend just downstream?
In bear country you stick together as I was reminded by the wolf track beside the river the size of my hand! We put our gear away and didn't drive 150 yds down the highway when we saw this grizzly!!!
Headed in the right direction, but too close for comfort.
Made it in to Dawson City, jewel of the Yukon and wonderfully preserved from its heyday!
But that merits a different post...
