Yukon is Canada's Texas

Or at least that's the consensus of all our new friends.
Dawson was packed with dern tourists for Labour Day so Burf! managed to find the last room in town at the Westminister Hotel.
So we parked the rig right outside the tavern's front door and the fun started!
Met Bruce who left Seguin in 1959 and his lovely wife Beth.
Met Haggert, local rancher and music aficionado - in a town of 2000 there's 3 active bands and listened to the Executives kill it for a set.
Met Steve who's a bear guide in the backcountry for 6 months and an amateur musician the rest.
Met Wayne, master parachutist and trainer for the Canadian Army until he shattered his his femur and now spends his time trying to figure out golf and grayling.
Had so much fun that Burf! actually called calf rope and left a beer on the table...

Burf! lost the coin flip and got the floor.
Too much fun, but now we're off for our actual destination, Tuktoyaktuk (TUK/tee-UK-tuk) on the Beaufort Sea in Northwest Territories.
Not sure of wifi availability north of here, so if posts are delayed we didn't get eaten by bears, just immersed in the North!
