GREEN fees

County Meath Golf Club's parking lot was only guarded by Skodas,  Peugeots, and a passle of youth golfers so it seemed a much safer venue and truly it was. After dropping the ladies in downtown Trim for shopping, teed up for nine holes on the pretty parkland course.

The fairways were so lush I had to club up and the greens so fuzzy it was hard to strike the ball firmly enough, but all together a pleasant afternoon. Hares on every hole and sheep baaing.
Played usual good and bad game, but really didn't matter as much as the experience. Did putt for par on three of the last four.
Great bar in the club house, full of photos and pennants from intraclub champions, several foursomes settling up over pints, and friendly folks glad to have a Texan with them. Big Jordan Spieth followers.
