Flight was hellish and the bay United made me gate check didn’t make the trip, so best way to deal with that was at the Drunken Rabbit Irish pub across from the hotel…
Just sitting at the bar visiting with Davey (from Ireland), trying the local beers when Aaron sat the barstool next to mine…carpenter, proud Dad, beer drinker, keeps a journal, lives on a ranch in Oregon but moving back to Buena Vista, CO in a couple weeks. Has a boat and ready to go fly fishing in the Arkansas!
Not like we didn’t have much to talk about! Time sure flies when you’re having fun.
Made friends with a lot of the locals too, seems I was good luck when they spun the drink wheel! Ended up with an extra Grolsch from a happy winner!
Then, in comes Kyle and Shayne from Florida. More stories, more rounds. They had reservations for dinner at same restaurant as Aaron so we all went and had excellent Icelandic tapas, including puffin, whale, lamb and other delights! Good people, great food!

Today was spent trying to regear all the stuff United lost. More shopping than I’ve done the past six months, but about 4 minutes after I finished buying new washing boots, jackets, shirts and socks, got the text that my bag was at the airport and scheduled to be delivered this evening 😂
Everything happens for a reason!
