The Pernal, Icelandic Natural History Museum

But first breakfast, just around the corner from our flat…amazing pastries, friendly folks at Bráud! Cool vibe as well.

Then off to the Pernal Museum which is constructed on six geothermal silos and made of tubular steel, so they use the water to heat and cool the entire structure (sorry, geeky construction notes).
The inside part is equally interesting with creative, interactive displays on everything from volcanos to fish, really too much info to share…highly recommended if visiting Reykjavik, especially if you’re going to do some touring around the country!
Ice Cave, 10°F! Cooler than Cold!

Marina was a fairly aggressive char!

Perhaps a char for our next fishing trip
Then it was out of the capitol and into the countryside to begin our wanders around the island.
