Our route south from Helena took us along MT-43 which follows the Big Hole River into Wisdom. If you are considering retiring to MT, I recommend checking out this area with its national forests, fishing, hunting, and scenery.
Then, you could go into Wisdom and eat at The Crossing and enjoy bumbleberry (black+blue+raspberry) or blueberry/huckleberry pie. You can choose whether to have it before or after your ranch burger, which has shredded ham, melted cheddar, and a fried egg on a 1\3# bison patty.
